I need to thank a member for sending an email requesting me to return and post a few really old things. It sort of got me onto the train of setting up the first portion of the Strict Design movie which Cory and I made way back in 1999. When it came to perform the images however, I realized that back then, and we are speaking waaaaaaay back then now, I didn't take that lots of pictures of scenes. Just enough to sell the movie which we were going to release. It wasn't until afterwards when we started Shortfuse Video as a paysite, we began taking full sets of images. So I decided I'd return to the origins of Andrea's shoots and reevaluate images that haven't seen the light of day in decades. It was a very interesting encounter. First off - damn, I'm a young pup... and second - even though I had been using a very, really, really crappy digital camera (so crappy I changed to 35mm film soon afterwards and wasn't convinced to return to digital for almost 4 decades ), I do love those pics. Yeah, it's most likely the sentimentalist in me - but I do. Yeah, I understand my rope work is barely passable, and that the light is nicely... non existent, there is still a certain charm to these photographs that is enduring. In addition, its fucking Andrea Neal. And you out there have probably heard just how much we just Adored her - but we did - and you'll be able to see in those photos. She was just so... real. When that occurred, she would just look in my smile and I'd say,"damn, you fooled me again...". I hope you like the journey down the road.
