Prior to the episode of Bondage Is The New Black Pepper, Alice Vicks and Kentucky had arrived at a remote farm. The warden had them till the field. They were then led into the barn, where they underwent a strip search.
In episode two, Pepper and Alice are sitting in a cold cell inside a barn. Both wear the prison uniform, a burlap bag. Kentucky joins them. They are then given a nasty tasting bowl of gruel, which they eat despite the foul smell that fills their nostrils and mouth. They wouldn't do it if they were not hungry. They need food after a long day of gardening. They curl up in the evening with just their body heat, and a thin burlap layer to prevent them from getting cold.
