In this case, the critters were fifty hungry leeches. I'm so glad that it is over, and we all survived. It was my hardest shooting experience. I was submerged under the cold water (and yes, it was COLD), completely alone, and totally at the mercy the the feisty, thirsty creatures. This was the first time i felt really scared in a movie scene. I knew logically that the set-up was secure, but i couldn't help but think about the leech. These little bugs are not to be trifled with. What's their destination? Straight to the crotch they went! I could only scream through the breathing tube, and try to not panic when i felt their tiny teeth penetrate my soft tissue. The whole thing...um...sucked. (i know stupid joke). It was a crazy, intense shoot, hopefully with good results. I think at least the leeches are happy!
